Commercial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and analytical Commercial Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in the UK. You will partner with business leaders to provide financial insights, drive profitability, and support key commercial decisions. This role requires a proactive individual who can translate financial data into actionable business strategies, working collaboratively within a dynamic, remote-first organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with commercial teams to develop business cases, analyse pricing strategies, and support sales initiatives.
• Develop financial models to assess the profitability of new products, services, and markets.
• Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing commercial input and challenging assumptions.
• Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior management, focusing on commercial performance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to enhance commercial insights.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong commercial acumen.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a commercial or business-facing finance role.
• Proven ability to develop complex financial models and perform in-depth analysis.
• Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment.
