About the Role

Our client is seeking a commercially astute and analytical Commercial Accountant to join their vibrant finance team based in Bristol . This role focuses on providing financial insights and support to key business departments, helping to drive profitability and strategic growth. You will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and supporting business case development. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of business operations and can translate financial data into actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to provide financial analysis, reporting, and decision support.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, tracking performance against financial targets.
• Analyze sales, costs, and profitability, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare financial models to support new business initiatives and investment appraisals.
• Contribute to pricing strategies and profitability enhancement projects.
• Assist with the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with commercial experience.
• Proven experience in a commercial accounting or business partnering role.
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent understanding of business drivers and performance metrics.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
