Commercial Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Commercial Architect to join their well-established practice in Nottingham . This role involves the design and management of a wide range of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, and mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for leading design teams, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that are both commercially viable and architecturally inspiring. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio of commercial work, excellent technical skills, and a deep understanding of the demands of the commercial property sector in the East Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of commercial projects from concept through to construction.
• Prepare detailed design proposals, drawings, specifications, and presentations for client and stakeholder approval.
• Manage project teams, coordinate consultants, and oversee contractor engagement.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety standards.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for potential commercial developments in Nottingham .
• Maintain strong client relationships and manage project delivery to meet agreed timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with significant experience in commercial design projects.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD , and other relevant architectural design and visualization software.
• Solid understanding of commercial building typologies, construction methods, and material applications.
• Experience with project management and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple project streams.
