Commercial Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a professional and experienced Commercial Architect to join their established practice in Nottingham . This role will involve the design and management of a variety of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, and mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs that meet client objectives, adhere to budgets, and comply with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent project management capabilities, and a proven ability to work effectively with clients and construction teams. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop architectural solutions for a range of commercial properties .
• Manage projects from initial brief and concept design through to completion.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements, functional needs, and commercial viability.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, M&E consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Oversee construction activities, conduct site inspections, and resolve design-related issues.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial architecture .
• Proven experience in designing and delivering office buildings, retail spaces, or mixed-use developments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit , with strong technical drawing skills.
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and construction methods relevant to commercial projects.
• Excellent project management, communication, and client liaison skills.
• Ability to manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
