About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Commercial Banking Manager to lead their commercial banking division in Oxford . This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, developing new business, and providing strategic financial solutions to support their growth. You will be a key point of contact, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction within the banking and finance sector. The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of financial products, and proven leadership and sales capabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial banking clients, deepening relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new commercial clients through proactive business development efforts.
- Assess client financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services, including loans, credit facilities, and treasury management solutions.
- Underwrite and approve commercial credit facilities within established risk parameters.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on financial strategies and market trends.
- Lead and mentor a team of commercial banking professionals, fostering a client-centric and results-oriented culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial banking, business development, or relationship management.
- Proven track record in originating commercial loans and developing new business relationships.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit analysis, and financial risk management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a passion for client service excellence.
