About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Commercial Cleaning Operative to join their team in Leicester . You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for clients and their employees. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a superior standard, contributing to the positive image and operational effectiveness of the businesses we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Sanitize and clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, ensuring all touchpoints are disinfected.
• Empty waste bins and ensure correct disposal of rubbish according to site procedures.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries in washrooms and kitchens.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning rounds to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a commercial cleaning or similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and their safe usage.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to high standards.
