About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their legal department. You will be instrumental in advising various business units on contractual matters, ensuring that all agreements are robust, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, supply contracts, and licensing agreements.
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on contractual terms, risks, and obligations.
- Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy and consumer protection.
- Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and renewal/termination.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and other departments to understand their contractual needs and provide solutions.
- Maintain a contract repository and assist in developing contract management best practices.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years of experience focused on commercial contracts.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Thorough understanding of contract law principles and common law jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management software.
