Commercial Contracts Lawyer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their busy in-house legal department situated in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial for supporting the commercial operations of the business by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements. You will collaborate closely with procurement, sales, and operational teams to ensure that all contracts align with business objectives and mitigate legal risks. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service level agreements, and distribution agreements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, risks, and commercial implications.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legislation and company policies.
• Manage a portfolio of contracts, overseeing renewals and terminations.
• Assist with dispute resolution and litigation related to contractual matters.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline processes.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial contract law.
• Strong understanding of contract drafting principles and negotiation techniques.
• Experience working with a variety of commercial agreements across different industries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and risk management in Milton Keynes .
