Commercial Gas Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to support their operations in Birmingham . This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and efficiency of commercial gas installations, including heating systems, boilers, and appliances. You will be responsible for a range of tasks from routine servicing to emergency repairs, ensuring compliance with all relevant gas safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a demanding environment within the installation and maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the installation, servicing, and repair of commercial gas boilers and associated plant equipment.
• Perform safety checks and issue relevant gas safety certificates (e.g., COCN1, ICPN1).
• Diagnose and rectify gas-related faults efficiently and effectively.
• Respond to emergency call-outs for gas system failures across Birmingham and surrounding areas.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current gas safety legislation and company policies.
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

• Commercial Gas Engineer qualifications (e.g., CCN1, COI, CDGA1, CIGA1, REGT1).
• Significant experience working with commercial-grade gas appliances and heating systems.
• Proficiency in fault-finding and repair of gas boilers and pipework.
• Knowledge of relevant building regulations and gas safety standards .
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license.
