About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to join their team in Portsmouth . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for advising businesses on their insurance needs, sourcing appropriate cover from the market, and building long-term client relationships. You will manage a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring they have adequate protection against their specific risks. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Assess clients' business risks and identify their insurance requirements.
• Source and negotiate insurance terms and premiums with various insurance providers.
• Present insurance proposals and recommendations to clients, explaining policy details and benefits.
• Handle renewals and mid-term adjustments for existing clients efficiently.
• Stay up-to-date with market developments and changes in insurance legislation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Insurance Broker , particularly within the commercial lines sector.
• Strong understanding of various commercial insurance products (e.g., liability, property, business interruption).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage client accounts and drive business growth.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Cert CII or Dip CII) are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using broking systems and standard office software.
