About the Role
Our client is seeking an energetic and client-focused Commercial Insurance Broker to join their established practice in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with commercial clients, understanding their diverse insurance needs, and sourcing the most suitable policies from a range of providers. Your expertise will involve advising clients on risk management strategies and ensuring they have adequate protection for their businesses. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Identify client insurance requirements through effective consultation and risk assessment.
- Source, compare, and present suitable insurance policies, explaining coverage and terms clearly.
- Negotiate terms and premiums with insurance providers to secure the best outcomes for clients.
- Advise clients on risk management strategies to minimize potential losses.
- Process new business, renewals, and endorsements accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven track record in insurance sales or broking, with experience in commercial lines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of various commercial insurance products and the insurance market.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients, understanding their business needs.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CII) are desirable.
