About the Role

Our client is looking for a professional and client-focused Commercial Insurance Broker to join their Edinburgh office. This hybrid role combines essential in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will be responsible for advising businesses on their insurance needs, sourcing appropriate coverage, and negotiating terms with insurers to secure the best protection for their assets and operations. Building strong, lasting relationships with a diverse commercial client base will be central to your success. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new commercial client relationships, understanding their business risks and insurance requirements.
• Source, compare, and present suitable insurance policies from various providers to meet client needs.
• Negotiate premiums and terms with insurers to achieve optimal coverage and cost-effectiveness for clients.
• Provide ongoing advice and support to clients, managing policy renewals and adjustments.
• Handle client queries and claims efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Insurance Broker or Account Executive in the commercial sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, markets, and risk management principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with business clients.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CII Diploma) are highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with broking software and standard office applications.
