Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to join their thriving office in Sunderland . This role is crucial in advising businesses on their insurance needs, sourcing appropriate cover, and managing relationships with clients and insurers. You will be at the forefront of understanding diverse business risks and providing tailored insurance solutions that offer robust protection. The hybrid nature of this role allows for essential client-facing and team collaboration in the office, combined with the flexibility of remote work to enhance productivity and work-life integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, understanding their specific business risks and insurance requirements.
- Source, negotiate, and place insurance policies with a range of reputable insurers, securing optimal terms and coverage.
- Provide expert advice and ongoing support to clients regarding their insurance arrangements, claims, and risk management strategies.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, underwriters, and internal teams.
- Manage policy renewals, identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling, and ensure client retention.
- Stay abreast of market developments, new products, and regulatory changes affecting commercial insurance.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Insurance Broker , with a focus on commercial lines of business.
- Deep understanding of various commercial insurance products, including liability, property, and business interruption.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to analyze business risks and provide appropriate insurance solutions.
- Professional qualifications such as ACII are highly regarded.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team structure.
