Key Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial insurance applications, assessing risks and determining appropriate underwriting decisions.
• Develop and negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing for commercial insurance policies, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to understand their evolving needs and provide expert advice.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform underwriting strategies.
• Collaborate with claims, sales, and actuarial teams to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of new underwriting guidelines and product enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Insurance Underwriter , with a focus on commercial lines of business.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial and risk data.
• Excellent understanding of insurance principles, risk assessment, and pricing methodologies.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for engaging with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification in insurance or a related field is advantageous.
