About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties in and around Newcastle upon Tyne . This role requires a blend of on-site presence for property inspections and client meetings, coupled with the flexibility to manage administrative tasks remotely. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and financial performance of the managed properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of commercial leases, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to both property owners and tenants. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties , ensuring high standards of upkeep.
- Oversee tenant relations, address concerns, and ensure compliance with lease agreements.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects, managing contractors and budgets effectively.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition and identify potential issues.
- Prepare financial reports, including service charge reconciliations, budgets, and rental income statements.
- Contribute to the acquisition and disposal of properties within the portfolio.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in commercial property management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commercial leases , property law, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting accurately.
- Proficiency in property management software and standard office applications.
- Flexible approach to work, capable of balancing on-site and remote responsibilities.
