About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Commercial Property Surveyor to join their established team in Birmingham . This role is integral to assessing and valuing commercial properties, advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, and asset management strategies. You will play a crucial part in providing expert technical advice to a range of clients, including investors, developers, and occupiers. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the commercial property market in the West Midlands and a strong understanding of building surveying principles. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed surveys and inspections of commercial properties to assess their condition, value, and potential risks.
• Prepare comprehensive valuation reports, boundary surveys, and building condition surveys.
• Advise clients on property acquisition and disposal strategies, market trends, and investment opportunities.
• Undertake leasehold enfranchisement and boundary dispute resolution.
• Negotiate terms for property transactions and provide expert witness testimony when required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, market conditions, and surveying techniques.

Requirements

• RICS accredited degree in Surveying or a related field, with full MRICS or FRICS qualification.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Property Surveyor , ideally within a consultancy or agency environment.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial property markets, valuation methodologies, and building pathology.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and relevant software packages.
• Excellent report writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Birmingham area and wider region.
