About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Property Surveyor to join their expanding practice based in Reading . This role involves providing a comprehensive range of surveying services for commercial properties, including building surveys, dilapidations, and lease advisory. You will be responsible for assessing property condition, advising clients on technical building matters, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of commercial buildings and excellent client-facing skills, contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence in Berkshire and beyond. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed building surveys and inspections of commercial properties.
• Prepare technical reports, including schedules of condition, dilapidations, and repair assessments.
• Advise clients on property maintenance, landlord and tenant obligations, and lease terms.
• Manage dilapidations claims, negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhering to professional standards.
• Provide expert advice on construction, compliance, and asset management for commercial property portfolios.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as MRICS or equivalent in a relevant surveying discipline.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Property Surveyor , with expertise in building surveying and lease advisory.
• Thorough understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and contract administration.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills, with the ability to advise clients effectively.
• Experience with project management and contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with the property market in Reading and the surrounding Berkshire area.
