About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their fleet maintenance team in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK . This role is essential for ensuring the roadworthiness and optimal performance of their diverse fleet of commercial vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, contributing directly to the reliability and safety of the company's transportation operations. This is a hands-on role for a qualified technician passionate about vehicle mechanics and maintaining a high-performing fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial vehicles (trucks, vans, HGVs).
• Identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and provide effective solutions.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, including oil changes, brake checks, and tire rotations.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to industry standards and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed on each vehicle.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.

Requirements

• Qualified vehicle technician with recognized certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance).
• Proven experience working as a technician on commercial vehicles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, electronics, and hydraulics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
