Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to support the charity's objectives.
- Create and manage engaging content for the charity's website, social media channels, and newsletters.

- Monitor media coverage and social media conversations, responding appropriately to build positive sentiment.
- Collaborate with program teams to highlight successes and share impact stories effectively.
- Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines and messaging frameworks for Southampton and beyond.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Communications Officer or in a similar role, preferably within the Charity & Voluntary sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation platforms.
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- A strong understanding of public relations principles and media relations.
