About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and articulate Communications Officer to enhance their public presence and stakeholder engagement in Southampton . You will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies across various channels, ensuring consistent messaging and promoting the charity's work and impact. This role is key to building awareness and support for the organization's mission within the Charity & Voluntary sector and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engaging communication plans, including press releases, social media content, newsletters, and website updates.
- Write and edit compelling content for a variety of audiences, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency for initiatives in Southampton .
- Manage the charity's social media presence, fostering engagement and responding to inquiries.
- Support the organization of public events and outreach activities.
- Monitor media coverage and public perception, providing reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and stories that highlight the charity's impact.
Requirements
- Proven experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Experience in social media management and content creation across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and email marketing tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- A keen interest in the work of the Charity & Voluntary sector.
