About the Role
Our client is looking for a compassionate and reliable Community Care Assistant to join their dedicated team serving the Plymouth area. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to live independently and with dignity. You will be a vital link in ensuring their well-being, offering companionship and assistance with daily tasks. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely cares about helping others in the Devon community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting, with respect and dignity.
- Help with medication prompting and administration as per care plans.
- Prepare meals and support with domestic tasks to maintain a comfortable home environment.
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients.
- Monitor clients' well-being and report any changes or concerns to the care manager.
- Accurately record care provided and any observations in client logbooks.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar care role is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and reliable nature.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during home visits.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles in a care setting.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel within Plymouth .
