About the Role
Our client, a leading charity organisation, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Community Fundraising Manager to join their dedicated team in Leicester . This vital role involves developing and implementing creative fundraising strategies to engage with local communities, businesses, and individuals, ultimately driving vital income for the organisation's impactful projects. You will be instrumental in building strong relationships, inspiring generosity, and ensuring the continued success of fundraising initiatives that make a real difference to those in need, working within a supportive and mission-driven environment that values collaboration and dedication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive community fundraising plan, setting ambitious yet achievable income targets for the Leicester area.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, corporate partners, and community groups, fostering long-term engagement.
- Organise and manage a diverse range of fundraising events, from small local gatherings to larger public appeals, ensuring smooth execution and maximum return.
- Create compelling fundraising materials and communications, including appeals, newsletters, and social media content, to effectively convey the charity's mission and impact.
- Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers, empowering them to contribute effectively to fundraising activities across the region.
- Monitor fundraising performance, analyse data, and provide regular reports to senior management on progress against goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fundraising , event management, or community engagement, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing fundraising strategies that meet or exceed targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other fundraising databases for donor management and reporting.
