Community Inclusion Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Community Inclusion Officer to promote social inclusion and active participation for individuals within the Nottingham area. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure that all members of the community, particularly those who may be marginalized, have opportunities to engage in social, cultural, and recreational activities. You will work closely with local organisations, community groups, and individuals to foster a more inclusive and connected society in Nottingham .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement initiatives that promote social inclusion and participation for diverse community members.
• Identify barriers to inclusion and work collaboratively to develop solutions.
• Organise and facilitate inclusive community events, workshops, and activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, local authorities, and voluntary organisations.
• Provide information and signposting to individuals seeking to engage more in their community.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion initiatives and report on outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in community development, social inclusion, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the principles of social inclusion and diversity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
• Creative and proactive approach to developing community programmes.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
