Community Outreach Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and proactive Community Outreach Coordinator to join their dedicated team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is central to building strong relationships within the local community, promoting awareness of the organization's mission, and engaging volunteers and beneficiaries. You will be the face of the charity in the local area, planning and executing outreach events, building partnerships with community groups, and ensuring our services reach those most in need. This is a hands-on role for someone deeply committed to social impact and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase awareness and engagement with the charity's programs.
• Organize and manage community events, workshops, and information sessions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local community groups, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support outreach activities.
• Represent the organization at local events and community forums.

Requirements

• Experience in community engagement, outreach, or a related field within the charity sector .
• Proven ability to plan and execute successful community events.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
