About the Role
Our client, a dedicated charitable organization , is looking for a dynamic Community Outreach Officer to join their team in Cardiff . This role is central to building strong relationships within the local community, raising awareness of the charity's services, and engaging individuals and groups to support their cause. You will be the face of the organization in various community settings, fostering partnerships and encouraging participation. This position requires a highly personable individual with a passion for community engagement and a commitment to social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to raise awareness and engage target audiences.
- Organize and deliver presentations, workshops, and information sessions within the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community groups, schools, businesses, and other stakeholders.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers involved in outreach activities.
- Represent the charity at community events, fairs, and public forums.
- Collect feedback from the community to inform program development and service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in community engagement , outreach, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively across Cardiff and surrounding areas .
- A deep understanding of community dynamics and the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Passion for the mission of the charity sector and a commitment to social justice.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable for this role.
