Community Outreach Worker

About the Role

You will be instrumental in building trust, identifying needs, and facilitating access to resources within the Cambridgeshire community. Key Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals and groups in the community to identify their needs and potential barriers to accessing support.
• Provide information and guidance on available services, programmes, and resources.
• Facilitate referrals to other agencies and support organisations as needed.
• Organise and participate in community events and outreach activities to raise awareness.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, community leaders, and partner organisations.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, client interactions, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in community work, social services, youth work, or a related field is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
• A compassionate, non-judgmental, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping.
• A driving license and access to a vehicle may be advantageous for community travel.
