Our client is seeking a motivated and proactive Community Outreach Worker to engage with individuals and families in the Cambridge area. This role focuses on connecting people with essential services, support networks, and opportunities to improve their well-being and social inclusion. You will be instrumental in building trust, identifying needs, and facilitating access to resources within the Cambridgeshire community. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with individuals and groups in the community to identify their needs and potential barriers to accessing support.
- Provide information and guidance on available services, programmes, and resources.
- Facilitate referrals to other agencies and support organisations as needed.
- Organise and participate in community events and outreach activities to raise awareness.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, community leaders, and partner organisations.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, client interactions, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience in community work, social services, youth work, or a related field is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
- A compassionate, non-judgmental, and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping.
- A driving license and access to a vehicle may be advantageous for community travel.
