About the Role
Our client is seeking enthusiastic and qualified Community Sports Coaches to inspire and engage young people in Sunderland . This role focuses on delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions across various disciplines in local schools and community centres. You will play a key part in fostering a love for physical activity, promoting teamwork, and developing fundamental sporting skills. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and safe sports coaching sessions for children and young people of all abilities.
- Promote positive behaviour, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles among participants.
- Assess participant progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage development.
- Assist in the organization and running of local sports leagues and events.
- Maintain equipment and ensure all coaching activities adhere to safety guidelines.
- Build positive relationships with participants, parents, schools, and community partners.
Requirements
- Relevant coaching qualifications and certifications in one or more sports (e.g., FA, ECB, RFL coaching badges).
- Experience working with children and young people in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
- Ability to adapt coaching styles to suit different age groups and skill levels.
