Community Sports Coach

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and qualified Community Sports Coach to deliver engaging sports programs across various venues in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on inspiring participation in sports among young people and community groups, promoting healthy lifestyles and inclusivity. You will be responsible for coaching sessions, organizing small-scale events, and building positive relationships within the community, working both on-site and remotely to coordinate activities and communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions to diverse age groups and ability levels.
• Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and fair play during all activities.
• Assist in the organization and running of local sports festivals and competitions.
• Engage with community members to encourage participation in sports and physical activity.
• Maintain equipment and ensure the safety of participants during all sessions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, participants, and community stakeholders regarding program details and updates.

Requirements

• Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., FA Level 1/2, UK Coaching Certificate).
• Experience working with children and young people in a sports or activity setting.
• Good knowledge of various sports and their rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid First Aid certificate and a current DBS check are essential.
