Community Support Assistant - Vulnerable Adults

About the Role

Our client is seeking a caring and dependable Community Support Assistant to provide essential assistance to vulnerable adults within their homes and the local community of Norwich . This part-time role is focused on enabling individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life by offering practical help and companionship. You will be a vital link, ensuring that clients receive the support they need to live safely and comfortably in their own environment, fostering their well-being and connection to the Norwich community. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Support clients with domestic duties, including light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and engage in social interaction, helping to alleviate loneliness and isolation.
• Administer or remind clients to take prescribed medications as per care plans.
• Accurately record the care provided and report any observations or concerns to the care supervisor.
• Accompany clients on outings, appointments, or shopping trips within the Norwich area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving role is advantageous, especially with adults.
• A compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanour.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Understanding of basic health and safety principles in a care setting.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends, to meet client needs in Norwich .
