Community Support Worker

About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join their expanding team in Sunderland . Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes, assisting with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Administer prescribed medications as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
• Support individuals with appointments, social activities, and community engagement to foster independence and reduce isolation.
• Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes or concerns to the care coordinator or relevant healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided, observations, and any incidents that occur.
• Assist with light household chores, shopping, and other domestic tasks to support independent living.

Requirements

• A genuine desire to help others and a patient, empathetic, and respectful approach.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check .
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, to meet client needs in Sunderland .
• Previous experience in care is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
