Community Support Worker

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Community Support Worker to join their team in Aberdeen . You will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals within their own homes and local communities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about making a tangible difference in people's lives and supporting vulnerable adults to live as independently as possible, whilst contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene, with dignity and respect.
• Help with meal preparation and domestic tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Administer or assist with medication as prescribed, adhering strictly to protocols.
• Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and community outings, fostering social inclusion.
• Monitor clients' well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the care manager promptly.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, building trusting relationships with clients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar caregiving or support role is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and understanding demeanour.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet client needs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in a care setting.
• A valid driving license and access to a vehicle may be required for certain roles.
