About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Community Support Worker to join their team serving the Newcastle upon Tyne area. This role involves providing essential support to individuals within their own homes and the local community, helping them to live more independent and fulfilling lives. You will work as part of a compassionate team, fostering positive relationships and assisting clients with a range of daily living tasks. This hybrid role offers a blend of community-based work and administrative tasks that can often be managed remotely, providing a flexible approach to supporting our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, medication reminders, and daily living activities in their homes.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a sense of well-being.
• Support clients in accessing community resources, appointments, and social activities.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of client interactions and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the wider care team.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A genuine desire to help others and a compassionate nature.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including some evenings and weekends.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
