Compliance Analyst - Conflicts & AML
- London
- Permanent·On-site
Job Description
Location: London 3 days a week in office
We're working with a leading international law firm looking to appoint a Compliance Officer to join its established Business Acceptance team in London.
This is an opportunity for someone with a background in law firm compliance who enjoys working across conflicts, AML and client onboarding within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
The Role:
You'll play a key role in the firm's client and matter acceptance processes, helping to manage risk and ensure new business meets the appropriate regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
-
Reviewing and analysing conflict search results, identifying potential commercial and regulatory conflicts, and coordinating their resolution.
-
Managing new client and matter opening requests, ensuring all relevant checks are completed before approval.
-
Conducting AML and client due diligence research, including gathering and reviewing CDD documentation.
-
Carrying out sanctions screening and supporting the implementation and maintenance of information barriers.
-
Working closely with fee-earners and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance queries and facilitate the onboarding process.
-
Supporting process improvements and system testing across the Business Acceptance function.
Key Experience Required:
This role requires direct experience within a law firm Business Acceptance team. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience across both conflicts and AML, rather than specialising exclusively in one area.
To be considered, you'll need:
-
At least two years' experience working within a law firm's Business Acceptance team.
-
Hands-on experience with both conflicts searches and AML/CDD processes, including the ability to identify issues, assess risk and support their resolution.
-
A sound understanding of AML legislation, client due diligence requirements and conflicts rules.
-
Strong research and analytical skills, with experience using corporate research tools and databases.
-
The confidence to communicate effectively with fee-earners and senior stakeholders.
-
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
-
An undergraduate degree.
This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class international law firm, working alongside exceptional talent and learning from some of the best in the industry to accelerate your professional growth.
