About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Compliance Officer to join their investment funds division based in Edinburgh . This hybrid position is crucial for ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies governing fund operations. You will conduct compliance monitoring, advise on regulatory changes, and help maintain the integrity and reputation of the company. This role offers a chance to work within a respected financial institution, contributing to robust compliance frameworks with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, combining office-based collaboration with remote productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's compliance monitoring program for investment funds.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to identify potential breaches and areas for improvement.
- Advise business units on regulatory requirements, including FCA, ESMA, and other relevant bodies.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and responses to inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving financial regulations and best practices in compliance.
- Manage and resolve compliance issues and concerns raised by internal or external parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within the investment management industry.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, AIFMD, UCITS).
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organisation.
- Adaptable to working effectively in both an office and a remote capacity.
