Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Composite Laminator to join a growing advanced manufacturing business supplying the automotive, aerospace, defence and marine sectors.

The successful candidate will manufacture high-quality visual carbon components using pre-preg materials, vacuum bagging and autoclave curing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Laminate composite parts and tooling using pre-preg carbon and glass fibre materials.

• Carry out vacuum bagging and prepare components for autoclave curing.

• Read and follow engineering drawings, route cards and manufacturing instructions.

• Inspect patterns and moulds before use, reporting any defects.

• Carry out component breakout following the curing process and identify defects.

• Support improvements to manufacturing processes, quality and efficiency.

• Maintain equipment and ensure the work area is clean, tidy and safe.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous hands-on experience with pre-preg composite materials.

• Good understanding of vacuum bagging and autoclave curing processes.

• Experience working with carbon fibre and/or glass fibre.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to follow technical drawings, procedures and work instructions.

• Able to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Good communication skills and a positive team-working attitude.

Composite manufacturing experience within motorsport, automotive, aerospace or defence.
