About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Construction Estimator to join their team in Oxford . You will be responsible for accurately calculating the costs associated with construction projects, preparing detailed bids, and ensuring profitability. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and market costs. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new business by providing competitive and precise cost estimates, working closely with the commercial and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bids for construction projects.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review bids to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients on pricing and scope.
• Maintain a database of costs and supplier information.

Requirements

• Experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
