Construction Foreman

About the Role

Our client is looking for a hands-on and experienced Construction Foreman to join a project team in Sheffield . This role is essential for supervising daily site activities and ensuring that work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for directing a team of tradespeople and laborers, managing workflow, and liaising with the Site Manager to report on progress and resolve any immediate on-site issues. This is a practical, field-based role requiring strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the work of construction crews on site.
• Ensure all tasks are completed according to project plans and specifications.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting daily checks.
• Manage the efficient use of materials and equipment on site.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager and other team members regarding work schedules and site logistics.
• Report on daily progress, any issues encountered, and the status of resources.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Construction Foreman or a similar site leadership role.
• Solid understanding of construction trades and techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
