Construction Foreman

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Construction Foreman to lead teams on various building projects in and around Birmingham . You will be instrumental in guiding daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. As a key member of the site team, you will contribute significantly to the successful execution of projects, supporting the Site Manager and mentoring craft workers, thereby reinforcing our client's reputation for quality and reliability in the West Midlands construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a crew of construction workers on a daily basis.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and building codes.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide work activities and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve site issues.
• Perform quality control checks and ensure all work meets required standards.
• Manage site tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring proper usage and inventory.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a trade role within the construction industry, with proven leadership capabilities.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Solid understanding of construction safety procedures and best practices.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations applicable in the UK .
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant trade qualifications and a valid CSCS card are essential.
