About the Role

Our client requires a highly experienced Construction Health and Safety Manager to lead and oversee all safety initiatives for their projects in the Norwich area. This senior role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies across all construction sites. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance and promote a robust safety culture. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations, and a passion for creating safe working environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic health and safety plans for all construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to project teams.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs to all site personnel.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all legal requirements are met.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Health and Safety Manager within the construction industry.
• Professional qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• In-depth understanding of construction hazards, risk management, and safety legislation .
• Proven leadership and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
