Construction Health and Safety Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and dedicated Construction Health and Safety Officer to join their team managing a significant construction site in Bradford . Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel, implementing and enforcing robust health and safety policies and procedures. This role is critical in preventing accidents and promoting a strong safety culture across the site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and upholding the company's commitment to zero harm.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety plans and procedures on site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, reporting findings and implementing preventative measures.
• Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.

Requirements

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety.
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote safety initiatives.
