Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
• Liaise with site management, project teams, and external regulatory bodies on safety matters.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer or similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent observational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication, training, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively on busy construction sites and manage multiple priorities.
