About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Construction Lawyer to join their reputable practice in Nottingham . This role involves advising clients on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious construction law, including drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional appointments, and resolving disputes. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including developers, contractors, and employers, on significant construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and professional appointments.
• Advise on procurement strategies and project documentation.
• Manage construction disputes, including adjudication, arbitration, and litigation.
• Advise on health and safety regulations and environmental compliance in construction.
• Conduct due diligence for construction projects and transactions.
• Provide expert legal counsel on risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a strong background in construction law .
• Experience with standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke agreements.
• Knowledge of construction dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and work collaboratively within a team environment.
