About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their team supporting projects in Sheffield . You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring construction programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable plans. It's an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in planning and scheduling within a fast-paced and challenging construction environment .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject).
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scopes, sequences, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, including critical path analysis and look-ahead schedules.
- Assess the impact of changes on the programme and revise schedules accordingly.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure alignment on project timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Senior Planner.
- Proficiency in industry-standard planning software, such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
