About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their expanding team in Bradford . This role is pivotal in developing, maintaining, and communicating realistic and achievable project schedules for a variety of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create integrated plans that account for resources, risks, and dependencies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes and excellent analytical skills, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting all timelines and objectives in the West Yorkshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Analyse project scope, identify critical path activities, and determine resource requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project milestones, phases, and key deliverables.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and scenario analyses to stakeholders.
- Assess the impact of changes, delays, and disruptions on the project timeline.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
- Proficiency in industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and project management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to forecast and manage potential risks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with site teams and management.
- Relevant construction or planning qualification is advantageous.
