Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Construction Planner to join their team in Reading . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing detailed construction schedules for various projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction sequencing, resource management, and program logic. You will work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that project timelines are realistic, achievable, and effectively communicated. Your expertise in planning will be crucial to the smooth and timely delivery of construction works in the Berkshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction program schedules using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, activities, and durations.
• Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling risks.
• Monitor program progress, update schedules regularly, and report on performance.
• Assist in resource planning and forecasting to support project execution.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar scheduling role.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and management.
