About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their team in Bradford . This role is vital for developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, ensuring the efficient execution of construction activities across various sites. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create realistic and achievable plans, identifying potential risks and opportunities for optimization. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for a professional dedicated to the precise coordination and successful delivery of complex construction projects in the West Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software.
- Analyze project requirements and identify critical path activities and potential constraints.
- Collaborate with site teams to gather information and update schedules accordingly.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and report on deviations.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely project completion.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely resource availability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
- Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree or HND in Construction, Engineering, or a related field is preferred for this role in Bradford .
