Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Planner to join their project team, focusing on major developments in Southampton . This critical role involves developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed construction project schedules. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure that all project activities are coordinated effectively, resources are optimally utilized, and deadlines are met. Your expertise in scheduling and programming will be essential for the successful delivery of complex construction projects in the Hampshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive master project schedules using planning software.
• Create detailed construction sequencing and logic diagrams.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather information for schedule updates and progress reporting.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within the schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor site progress and update the schedule accordingly, highlighting any deviations or delays.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including narrative analysis and visual aids, for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in planning software such as **Primavera P6**, **MS Project**, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations.
• Ability to analyse complex project data and present clear, concise information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects is advantageous.
