About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join their project team in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for developing, managing, and monitoring construction programmes, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and meet their deadlines. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create robust plans, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies. This position offers the chance to contribute to a variety of significant construction projects within a company that values meticulous planning and operational excellence, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, phasing, and milestones.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the programme and develop mitigation and enhancement strategies.
- Monitor site progress against the plan, update programmes regularly, and report on variances.
- Assist in the preparation of method statements and sequencing of work.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines and objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar planning role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or ASTA PowerProject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
