About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join their operations team in Plymouth . This role is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure efficient and timely completion of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create detailed construction plans, identify potential risks, and optimise resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes and excellent proficiency with planning software, contributing to the smooth execution of projects in Devon.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify critical path activities and potential delays, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule and provide regular updates.
• Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Analyse potential risks and develop contingency plans to manage project timelines effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar scheduling role.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination.
