Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their team based in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of construction sequencing, resource management, and the ability to identify and mitigate potential delays. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create robust plans and ensure project milestones are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed master project schedules using planning software.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, activities, durations, and dependencies.
• Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress against the schedule, update plans, and report on performance.
• Liaise with site teams to ensure accurate and timely progress reporting.
• Assist in resource planning and allocation to support the construction schedule.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using project planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
